Trevenna Office Campus
Trevenna Office Campus is a mixed-use development and part of the urban renewal project of Pretoria CBD.
It is situated on a 3,86ha superlative terrain on Schoeman Street and is bordered by Meintjies and Greef Street. The location of the site is positioned in the heart of the medical, legal, government and educational precinct and is close to various public transport facilities – which is a mere fifteen minutes to walk to the new Gautrain Station at Berea City.
The DTI campus (across from Trevena Office Campus) is over 50 000m² and the investment in the Trevenna Campus over the next few years will be approximately 60 000m² in total. Together these two developments represent an investment of more than 110 000m² of urban renewal in the Sunnyside area.
It is the determined effort of the developers to keep in touch with nature and provide generous stretches of open space in the inner city. The considerable stretches of parkland will be developed into naturally landscaped public open spaces producing a rather unique outcome.
I was employed by Studio3 Architects as sole Architectural Technologist and Assistant Architect for Phase I (7 000m²).
Cullinan Jewel Shopping Center
The Cullinan Jewel Shopping Center is located in the heart of Cullinan, a Victorian and Edwardian village established in 1902.
The centre was recently purchased, remodeled and upgraded to fit its rightful place in the Cullinan landscape. The re-design and tenanting of the shopping centre caters for all the sectors represented in Cullinan, adding to the ‘old world’ charm.
This renovated shopping centre now measures approximately 6000m², boasting an extended and refurbished Spar of 1700m².
Another exciting new attraction to the Cullinan landscape is the recently restored Cullinan Premier Hotel. This beautifully finished landmark remains one of the major highlights and heritage of Cullinan.
I was employed by Studio3 Architects as sole Architectural Technologist and Assistant Architect for the renovation of Cullinan Jewel Shopping Center and Hotel.
SABC's Offices Revamp
The SABC, Auckland Park, was in dire need of a renovation.
I was employed by Espial Branding and Design as an Interior Architect for the renovation and revamp of the SABC's Offices.
